Volunteering at the House of Hope

Volunteers are valuable assets in The Salvation Army’s efforts to meet the changing needs of our world. Salvation Army volunteers change lives, uplift families and support communities throughout Greater Vernon everyday.

Looking to Volunteer?

If you wish to volunteer to help with our day-to-day programs and services at the Food Bank or Thrift Stores, please complete a volunteer package available at the House of Hope. If you’d like more information on volunteer opportunities, please contact Randel.

I volunteer because it is one good way to give back and help people in need.

Dennis | Food Warehouse Volunteer

My dad was a philanthropist and I am following suit. I volunteer because it is something that fills my time and it is a worthwhile cause to help others.

Christine | Food Warehouse Volunteer

The Salvation Army supports Christ’s work. I love what I do here.

Colleen | Thrift Store Volunteer

Because of the nice people, I get more out of it than I give.
